The Collection Department at Bleecker Brodey and Andrews has been in existence since 2003. Five collectors, who have a combined 93 years experience, currently serve our clients. Each collector brings a unique quality to the team. The collectors have experience from the finance, rent-to-own, collection agency, recovery/repossession, legal, security, and retail industries. Their combined experience and attitude make a winning team.
The Collection Department prides itself on the “personal touch” customer service approach. During regular business hours, our clients will not be forced to endure an automated calling cycle that prevents live interaction with a staff member. A representative will answer your call immediately. If you must leave a message, our policy is to return that call within 24 hours. Each member of our collection team provides excellent customer service while treating each client and caller with the utmost respect.
The Collection Department provides the following services:
- Make outbound collection calls. We have daily business hour call schedules, two night call schedules per week until 7:00 pm and at least two Saturday call schedules per month.
- Take incoming phone calls from debtors, clients, courts, employers, banks and other attorney offices.
- Skip trace for debtor addresses, assets and debtor contact numbers.
- Negotiate payoff terms, settlement arrangements, or payment arrangements.
- Provide alternatives for electronic payments and other automatic payment options.
- Verify Employment.
- Follow-up with employers and banks to ensure that interrogatories and garnishments are processed accordingly.
- BMV searches.
- Run credit bureau reports on debtors.
- Assessor inquiries for real estate deed information.
- Secretary of State searches on commercial collection issues.
- Review account inventory to ensure procedures are on course.
- Satisfy account status inquiries via phone, mail, fax or email.
- Designate letters and forms that need to be sent on accounts.
- Contact the various Sheriff departments to follow-up on execution status.
- Assist our clients with day-to-day collection needs.
