Stephen K. Andrews
Stephen Andrews began his law career in 1975 in the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office, rising to the position of Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. He also served, in a part-time capacity, as the Carmel City Attorney. In 1980 he, along with Marc A. Bleecker and Ronald B. Brodey, founded the law firm of Bleecker Brodey & Andrews.
Steve’s area of practice is concentrated on collections and creditors’ rights, including collection-related activities such as creditor’s rights in bankruptcy. He speaks frequently on those topics at continuing legal education seminars. Steve is a founding member of the Indiana Creditor Bar Association, an organization that provides a venue for creditor’s rights attorneys to keep abreast of new laws, statutes and issues affecting creditors’ rights and the law. He serves currently as an officer in that organization.
Steve received his university education at Indiana University, Bloomington and then attended John Marshall Law School in Chicago, graduating in 1975. That same year Steve was admitted into practice in Indiana and is a member in good standing of the Indiana State Bar Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Hamilton County Bar Association, and the United States Supreme Court Bar. Steve is also a member of the Indiana Creditors Bar Association, Commercial Law League of America, National Association of Retail Collections Attorneys and American Collections Association – Member Attorney.
Steve never envisioned the firm would serve clientele as far away as New York, Florida, California and even Taipei, China. However, over the last three years, the office staff has more than doubled to meet the needs of an expanding and global client base.
When not at the office, Steve enjoys traveling, fishing, attending Scottish Highland Games and collecting antiques. He is married with three adult children one of whom is a member of the law firm.

Ronald B. Brodey
Ronald B. Brodey was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana and graduated from North Central High School in 1963. Ron attended Indiana University in Bloomington, graduating in 1967 with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He received his J.D. from Indiana University School of Law, Bloomington in 1970. Upon his graduation from law school, Ron began representing injured individuals practicing at the law firm of Eskanazi, Mitchell & Yosha, where he became a partner. In October 1980, Ron joined Marc A. Bleecker and Stephen K. Andrews to form Bleecker Brodey & Andrews, where he continued representing individuals who were injured in automobile, motorcycle and trucking accidents.
Ron concentrates his practice in the area of personal injury, wrongful death, collections and mediations. He speaks at continuing legal education seminars on the topic of automobile collisions and representing individuals against insurance companies. Ron has been certified by the Indiana courts as a Civil Mediator and has helped numerous people and organizations in resolving their differences. He has received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell, an organization that rates attorneys nationwide based on peer reviews. He is also listed in the Bar Association of Preeminent Lawyers, as is the law firm of Bleecker Brodey & Andrews.
Ron is married and has three adult daughters. In his leisure time he enjoys playing tennis, mountain climbing, fishing, bicycling and traveling. He has reached the summit Mount Kilimanjaro and has trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu.

Julie M. Andrews
Julia (“Julie”) Andrews received her law degree from Indiana
University School of Law Indianapolis, in 2003, and her
bachelors degree in Geography and Classical
Studies/Archaeology from Indiana
University in Bloomington, Indiana
in 1999. Julie is a
certified mediator and admitted to practice in Indiana and
the United States District Courts for the Northern and
Southern Districts of Indiana.
At an early age, Julie began working
for the firm on a part-time basis as a file clerk,
eventually joining the firm full-time in 2003, as an
attorney. Julie
practices in the areas of creditors’ rights, collections,
foreclosure and creditors’ rights in bankruptcy.
In March of 2007, Julie was elected
President of the Indiana Creditor’s Bar Association.
She is also a member of the Indiana State Bar
Association, Indianapolis Bar Association, Women in Law
Association, Hamilton County Bar Association, National
Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and the
Commercial Law League of America.
As a stress reliever, Julie enjoys
working outside in her garden, playing video games, and
traveling. She
also plays in a volleyball recreation league.

Michael E. Andrews
Mike began his legal career as an associate with Bleecker,
Brodey and Andrews in 1981.
However, an opportunity for a judicial clerkship
arose and in 1983 Mike was chosen for the clerkship.
He served as Senior Law Clerk to the Chief Judge of
the Court of Appeals of Indiana for three and one-half years.
In 1986, Mike joined the
Trust Department of Merchants National Bank & Trust Co., now
known as National City Bank.
Mike was a lawyer for the Trust Department of the
Bank, serving in that capacity for seventeen years, first in
the Trust Department and later in the bank’s Law Department.
Mike then joined the law
firm of Crotty & Smyth, where he put his extensive knowledge
of trusts and estates to use as a staff attorney.
In 2007, Mike once again
joined Bleecker, Brodey and Andrews, where he practices in
the area of estate planning, including trusts, wills and
estate administration.
Mike attended
Indiana
University in Bloomington, graduating with distinction in
1977, when he was inducted as a member of Phi Beta Kappa
scholastic honors society.
He received his J.D.,
cum laude, from
Indiana University School of Law –
Indianapolis
in 1981.
Mike is married to Susan.
In his leisure time he enjoys gardening, reading
(especially American colonial history) and fishing.

David P. Durbin
David Durbin obtained his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington. While there, David realized his aspirations to become an attorney while participating in the Washington Leadership Program in Washington D.C. During his internship, David worked at the Investor Responsibility Research Center as an analyst. He graduated from Indiana University in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Management and Public Affairs.
After graduation, David worked for a third-party logistics brokerage firm in Chicago for three years. David moved to Dayton Ohio where he attended the University of Dayton School of Law. David was a member of the Intellectual Property Moot Court team and participated in the BMI/Cardoza competition in New York City. David clerked for the Honorable Judge Judy King in the Domestic Relations Court while in school.
After moving back to Indianapolis, David began working as a Deputy Prosecutor in the domestic violence courts in Marion County where he gained an extensive amount of court room experience.
David joined Bleecker Brodey & Andrews in July of 2007. His practice area is focused on collections, creditors rights in bankruptcy and foreclosures. He is a member of the Southern and Northern District of Indiana Bar Associations, Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Creditors Bar Association and the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. David has also law related written articles, the most recent of which was published in DSNews Magazine covering the rise in class action lawsuits against mortgage lenders and service providers.

Lori Hamilton
Lori's area of focus revolves around creditor's rights in bankruptcy. She began her career in 1987 with American General Financial Services, Inc. During her twenty years of employment with AGFS she held positions in lending and insurance sales, concluding in 1993, at which time she had risen to the position of Branch Manager for the Charge-off Collection Office. In 1995 with bankruptcy on the increase, Lori was instrumental in developing the Bankruptcy Manager/Representative position for the company, which she held until 2008. Some of her duties included: attending 341 creditors meetings and re-negotiating the value of the creditor's collateral, extensive review of bankruptcy files, filing Proof of Claims and Reaffirmation Agreements and developing a business relationship with debtor’s attorneys. She continues in this roll for the firm.
Lori graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an Associate of Science in Business Management. She volunteers at Turning Point Woman's Shelter and the Homeless Shelter in her hometown Columbus, Indiana. She also facilitated a Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) at her church, Community Church of Columbus.
In her spare time, she enjoys boating, making home-made salsa from tomatoes and cilantro grown from her garden. She admits to being a big fan of Jeopardy and Sudoku puzzles.

John C. Cox
John received his law degree in 2002 from the Indiana University School of Law—Indianapolis. John attended Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2000. While attending Wabash, he was president of his fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, and a member of both the track and debate teams.
Following law school, John served as the General Manager and General Counsel for ESG Security, Inc. in Indianapolis, maintaining the security operations for the Conseco Fieldhouse while also handling internal legal matters for the company. John has also practiced with The Nice Law Firm in Indianapolis focusing on general litigation and the representation of small and medium sized businesses.
John is involved in the collections, foreclosure, and bankruptcy divisions of the law firm. John also maintains a business representation practice, and has represented buyers and sellers in over $250 million in transactions. He prides himself on delivering personal attention, value, and a common-sense approach to his clients.
John is an avid Indianapolis Colts fan, and enjoys traveling, golfing, staying involved in his fraternity, and managing his fantasy football team. John and his wife, Julie, live in Noblesville.

Carleen Coy
Carleen joined the staff of Bleecker Brodey & Andrews as a Bankruptcy Representative in March, 2008. Carleen was raised in Auburn, IN. She is a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington majoring in criminal justice and psychology. Before joining the firm, Carleen was employed at First Indiana Bank as a branch manger and retail banking coordinator. Her background allows her to bring a unique perspective to the firm from her prior experience.
Carleen is actively involved in the Sheridan Wesleyan Church. She enjoys genealogy, reading, sewing and traveling. Carleen also enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys.

Jack T. Burns Jr.
Jack is a life long resident of Indiana, having graduated from Ben Davis High School in 1992.
Through his extensive work in consumer and commercial collections, Jack has developed a successful career in the collection industry, including nine years with Bleecker, Brodey, and Andrews. His previous experience includes working and managing both consumer and commercial collection portfolios throughout the Midwest; with a concentration on consumer debt collections. Currently, Jack serves the firm in the capacity of Collection Manger. He also organizes the firm's softball, volleyball and bowling leagues.
Jack is married and in his free time he enjoys traveling, fishing, softball, and spending time with his family.
